Kites & kite flying have become more than a hobby for us. It has turned into a business & fulfilling pastime that at times takes us into another world of fun & interacting with great people.

We quite accidentally started kiting while visiting Greyland Beach on the Washington coast in 1995.
There was a kite festival going on & we thought it would be fun to try our hand at building kites since we had already checked the prices of kites the day before while in Lincoln City Oregon & found them to be quite expensive.
Carol being an expert seamstress & myself always eager to enter into new & unknown fields, started our first kite several days later.

Our first "work shop" had lots to be desired as you can see from this photo, but we made many kites even under the restricted circumstances.

Almost four years later we have a very nice kite shop in our home, & find much pleasure in seeing our handy work come alive & fly.

This is our most welcome new shop where we have many convenciences, & lots of room to really concentrate on our work.
The nicest part of our new equipment is the eight foot work table with 75% of it glass to do our cutting.
